Play interventions, child and family counselling and multiservice support across northern Melbourne - Hume, Whittlesea and Mitchell Shire.
Melbourne North — the growth corridor running through Hume, Whittlesea and Mitchell Shire — is one of the fastest growing parts of Australia, and services have not kept pace with the population. Nowhere is that clearer than in therapeutic support for children.
Estates fill with young families years before the services arrive. Schools flag children who need support and find there is nowhere local to send them. Parents are handed a list of inner-Melbourne practices with closed books. We work here because that gap is real and we are positioned to close part of it.
We have deliberately not positioned ourselves across the whole metropolitan area. Our team lives and works in this corridor, which is what makes consistent scheduling, short-notice cover and genuine local knowledge possible — and it is what lets us extend the same team north into the Goulburn Region.
This is a service area, not an office. We are a mobile service. Sessions and supports are delivered in agreed therapeutic spaces, the family home, schools and community venues — we do not run a public drop-in office here.

Northern Melbourne is among the most culturally diverse parts of the country, and that shapes how we staff and how we practise. We work with families from African, CALD, refugee and migrant backgrounds, and we regularly match families with workers who share their language or cultural background. If that matters for your family, say so at intake.
No. We are a mobile service. Therapy and support are delivered in agreed therapeutic spaces, the family home, schools and community venues across the corridor.
We can usually complete an intake conversation within a few days and begin sessions within a fortnight, subject to matching and scheduling. If another service has told you there is a months-long waitlist, ask us for a realistic date.
No. We are an NDIS service provider and not an NDIS registered provider. NDIS-funded supports are provided where a participant’s plan and funding arrangements allow. Full detail is below.
Yes — that is our primary focus. All workers supporting minors hold a current Working with Children Check.
Our NDIS registration status. Chitambo Multisupport Services is an NDIS service provider. We are not an NDIS registered provider and we do not hold registration with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
We provide NDIS-funded supports — including NDIS Support Coordination, Core Supports and Capacity Building Supports — where this is permitted by the participant’s plan, funding arrangements and the applicable NDIS requirements. In practice this generally means we can work with self-managed and plan-managed participants. Participants whose plans are NDIA-managed are required to use registered providers for those supports.
If you are unsure how your plan is managed, send it to us and we will tell you honestly whether we can help — including when the answer is that you need a registered provider instead.
Counselling and play interventions lead our work here, alongside family, disability, aged care and community supports — all delivered by our own team rather than subcontracted out.
Not on the list? Ask anyway — we regularly travel beyond these areas.
We have capacity now for counselling, play interventions and our wider support services. Call us and we will tell you honestly whether we can help and how soon we could start.
