A plan with unspent funding is not a plan that worked. Support coordination is about turning the document into actual services — the right ones, in the right order, before the plan year runs out.
We are direct about this: our job is to build your capacity to manage your own supports, not to make you dependent on a coordinator forever.

What is the difference between support coordination and plan management?
Plan management handles the money — paying invoices and tracking claims. Support coordination handles the supports — finding providers, connecting services and building your capacity. They are separate budgets and you can have both.
How do I get support coordination funded?
It has to be included in your plan by the NDIA. If you think you need it, raise it at your planning meeting with evidence about why navigating services independently is difficult for you.
Can you coordinate providers other than yourselves?
Yes, and we frequently do. Coordination is provider-neutral by design.
What are the levels of support coordination?
There are three: Support Connection, Support Coordination, and Specialist Support Coordination for complex situations. Your plan will specify which is funded.
