NDIS Assistance With Daily Life

Everyday personal and household support that helps you live the way you want - personal care, meals, routines and the practical tasks that make a day work.

Daily Tasks Shared Living

Assistance with Daily Life covers the ordinary, essential things — getting up, getting dressed, getting fed, keeping a household running. Done badly it feels institutional. Done properly it is barely noticeable, and it gives you back your day.

We deliver this support in your own home, on your schedule, with workers trained in personal care who treat your routine as yours.

  • Assistance with mobility, transfers and safe movement around the home
  • Meal planning, preparation and support with eating
  • Medication prompting and routine support
  • Household tasks, laundry and keeping living areas safe
  • Morning and evening routines, including sleepover and overnight support
  • Support in shared living arrangements

Who This Is For

Participants who need hands-on or prompted support with the activities of daily living — because of physical disability, intellectual disability, acquired brain injury, degenerative conditions, psychosocial disability or a combination.

Dignity is not optional. Personal care is intimate work. We match workers carefully, we respect gender preferences, and we never rush a routine to hit a schedule.

How We Get It Right

Document the routine properly

We write down how you like things done, in your words, before anyone starts.

Introduce workers in person

You meet a worker before their first shift. Nobody unfamiliar turns up at your door.

Review and adjust

Needs change. We check in regularly rather than waiting for your plan review.

Related Supports

Many participants combine this with household cleaning and community access so that one provider covers the whole week.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is personal care covered by my plan?

Assistance with Daily Life sits in Core Supports and is one of the most commonly funded categories. The amount depends on your assessed needs.

Can I choose the gender of my support worker?

Yes, always. Tell us your preference and we will honour it.

Do you provide overnight or sleepover support?

Yes — active overnight and sleepover shifts are both available, subject to your funding and our roster.

What happens if my regular worker is sick?

We tell you as early as we can and offer a replacement you have met where possible. We will never simply not turn up.
