Our Services

NDIS Community Access & Participation Melbourne

Support to get out, stay connected and take part - social outings, community groups, appointments, shopping and the confidence to do more independently.

Compassionate NDIS Support For Individuals And Families

Isolation is one of the most common things participants tell us about, and it rarely shows up on a plan as a line item. Community access support exists to change that: to get you out of the house, doing the things you actually want to do, with someone alongside you for as long as you need them.

The goal is always to need us less over time, not more.

What’s Included

  • Getting to and taking part in social, recreational and cultural activities
  • Support at community groups, classes, gyms, libraries and places of worship
  • Shopping, banking, post office and other everyday errands
  • Attending medical and allied health appointments with you
  • Building confidence with public transport and travel training
  • Support to try something new — a course, a club, volunteering, a hobby

Who This Is For

Participants who want to be more active in their community but need support to make it happen — whether that is physical assistance, help managing anxiety in busy places, communication support, or just someone reliable so that plans do not fall through.

Community access pairs naturally with transport support. If getting there is the barrier, we can cover both in one shift.

How We Work

Start with what you enjoy

We ask what you actually like, not what a template says people your age should do.

Build up gradually

First outings are short and local. We extend as your confidence grows.

Step back deliberately

Where the goal is independence, we plan our own withdrawal from the start.

Culturally Safe Support

We support people from a wide range of cultural and language backgrounds, including families from African and CALD communities. If a shared language or a worker who understands your cultural expectations makes the difference, tell us — we will do our best to match you properly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which part of my plan pays for this?

Usually Core Supports — Assistance with Social and Community Participation. Some capacity-building goals also fund skill development for community access. We can check your plan.

Can my worker drive me?

Yes. Our workers use insured vehicles and can transport you to and from activities. Ask us how travel costs are charged so there are no surprises.

Can I have the same worker each time?

That is our default. Consistency is most of what makes this service work.

What if I want to do something unusual?

Good. Tell us. We have supported everything from fishing trips to language classes to volunteer shifts.

Most people we work with combine two or three of these. Mix and match whatever fits your plan.

Tell us what you need and we will walk you through the options — no obligation, no pressure, and a real person on the other end.
